Dr. Huer first appeared in Armageddon - 2419 A.D. By Philip Francis Nowlan in Amazing Stories, August, 1928. A second story, The Air Lords of Han appeared in the same magazine later that year. Buck Rogers finds himself reawakened on a post-apocalyptic Earth, some 500 years in the future. Joined by Wilma Deering and Dr. Huer, he fights against various foes.
Dr. Huer, along with Buck Rogers entered the public domain on January 1, 2024.
Current Incarnation (PDSH)
In our stories, Dr. Huer is a seemingly kindly old man who helps guide Buck Rogers and Wilma Deering through what may be their future. When they arrive in the city of Theopolis, it is under seige by the galaxy spanning Empire of Mongo. Huer is a master strategist and sees the chaotic potential in their strange visitors. With his city's survival at stake, he pits their skills against impossible odds in a desperate gambit.
